Inspiring South Australian Women 2023 - Commendation
LLRF Chair and Vice-Chair Madelyn and Ruth at the ceremony where Madelyn received an Inspiring South Australian Women’s Award Commendation.
We are delighted to share that LLRF Chair Madelyn Duckmanton received a commendation in the Inspiring South Australian Women's Award 2023, from the Australia Day Council of South Australia. This tremendous achievement reflects her dedication to raising awareness of Ovarian Cancer, through funding research and speaking at community events.
The commendation was presented at Government House by Katrine Hildyard MP, at a reception hosted by Her Excellency the Honourable Frances Adamson AC.
Accompanying Madelyn at the ceremony where her husband, John, her father, Kevin, her daughter and board member Melissa, and LLRF Vice-Chair Ruth. Madelyn shared the following thoughts on the award:
"I am delighted to receive this award on behalf of the foundation and see this as a reflection of the hard work of all the board members who have volunteered their time and energy. Their shared vision to find an early detection test, improve patient treatment options and raise community awareness about Ovarian Cancer has helped to make our achievements to date possible."
