The LLRF board and I recently had the pleasure of meeting with some of the research team working on the projects that the foundation is supporting, and I would like to share some information about the research we are helping to fund at the University of South Australia.

As there is no early detection test it is important that every woman knows the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer, and listens to her body carefully. Early detection of Ovarian Cancer is the key to the best treatment and outcomes.

As we have all been fixed to the Australian Open Tennis, news has come out that the famous former grand slam winner and professional tennis player, Chris Evert, was recently diagnosed with stage 1c Ovarian Cancer.

Treatment for Ovarian Cancer has changed little since 1992. The current first line treatment is a generic form of chemotherapy, which is usually effective in treating the cancer cells left after debulking, in the first instance.⁠
